wie sieht das aus?

Gerade wenn es um Ihr Kind geht, treten oft viele Fragen auf.

Egal wie alt Ihr Kind ist.

1. warum röntgen?

The most dangerous caries often develops unnoticed in the interdental space and is invisible to the eye.

The nerve cavity of the milk teeth is significantly larger than that of the permanent teeth and can be damaged all the more quickly by interdental caries.

Milk teeth are important placeholders for the permanent teeth that follow later.

permanent teeth

even if the caries often looks quite small in the X-ray image...

...in reality it is much bigger!

Even with new molars that have just come through, the susceptibility to caries is very high and cannot be seen in the space between them with the naked eye.

The German Society for Pediatric Dentistry therefore recommends regular X-rays, especially for children.

Don't worry: With us, the radiation exposure due to digital X-ray technology is only 10% of the conventional X-ray exposure.

2. warum versiegeln?

The current German Oral Health Study proves:

70 percent of 12-year-olds are free of caries!-

On the one hand, this is due to the prophylaxis programs of the dentists, but on the other hand it is also due to the routine sealing of the permanent molars.

That says it all - we think.

freshly erupted permanent molar - after it was brushed!

The bacteria in the dimples are invisible to the naked eye.

The toothbrush cannot get into the tooth pits (fissures).

Visualizing the bacteria with a special staining solution.

After cleaning!

It can be seen that bacteria and plaque still remain in the pits.

This is why tooth decay develops there so quickly

The sealing -

a special plastic varnish - now closes the tooth pits.

The tooth is protected.

3. warum pzr?

We offer all children and young people a more extensive professional preventive program - Children and youth PZR- which massively reduces the number of germs in the mouth and thus minimizes the risk of tooth decay.

We particularly recommend this special prophylaxis program for the following patient groups:

  • Anxious children for whom further treatment measures are planned (playful accustoming to rotary instruments)

  • caries-prone children

  • Adolescents whose oral hygiene motivation is very low (e.g. during puberty)

  • Children with orthodontic appliances

A completely normal situation with children...

Fixed braces (brackets)

Staining the bacteria shows how difficult it is for children and young people to clean such devices.
